The main target students of Lumio EDU right now are Chinese students in the poverty regions of China, so all English learning materials post at this site are in Chinese. Founder’s words-Why lumio

As the founder and president of iHelp, a student organization at my school that sends volunteers to remote parts of China to teach English, I have taught English in secluded, rural areas of China and have hosted charity bazaars to raise money for underfunded schools and poor families within these areas. My eagerness to curtail educational disparities between rural and urban China has also inspired me to launch Lumio, an online teaching platform that provides free English courses taught by volunteer teachers like myself. Thus, even students in the most secluded areas of China can access quality English instruction through their computer or mobile device.

Looking at the earth from space,

you can’t see the earth boundary,

you can’t see the national boundary.

People should not be limited by these invisible lines.

At Lumio Online Teaching Platform,

our teachers come from all over the world, and our students come from all over China.

Maybe in the future we’ll have students all over the world.

Because no matter where you come from,

if you want to learn, our teachers are ready to help you.

As human beings, We are all the same in essence; we are all brothers and sisters.
